Saray Turkish Restaurant

About

Saray Turkish Restaurant is at 208 Old Christchurch Road, BH1 1PD, on the Lansdowne end of the town-centre strip, and the practical thing to know is that its website is no longer a working one. sarayrestaurant.co.uk now serves a bare redirect into a path built from a 2019 Internet Archive snapshot, so anything you read there is seven years old and there is no live menu, no current prices and no online booking. The number listed for it across local directories is 01202 299082, and phoning is the only reliable way to book a table or check the hours. It is a sit-down Turkish restaurant rather than a takeaway. On food hygiene it holds a rating of 5, the top score, from an inspection by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, though that inspection was on 26 May 2023, so it is now over three years old and no re-inspection was pending when this listing was checked. The scheme runs on penalty points where lower is better: Saray scored 0, the best possible mark, for both the condition of the premises and confidence in management, and 5 for hygienic food handling.
